1. Experimental purpose and principle:
The horizontal flow oil separator adopts the floating separation method after high-speed stirring, adding medicine and demulsification, and the surface of the tank is equipped with an oil scraper.
The floating oil in the oily sewage is the m*n part of the oil content in the sewage, generally accounting for more than 80% of the total oil content in the sewage. There is very little dissolved oil in the sewage, generally not more than 5-15 mg/L, and the rest is emulsified oil. Therefore, the separation of floating oil and emulsified oil is the key to the treatment of oily sewage.
The meaning of floating oil refers to the oil that can float to the surface of the water by means of the difference in specific gravity between oil particles and water under the condition of standing or slow flow of sewage for a cert*n period of time (generally 2.0 hours). Practice has proved that in the above practice, the particle size of the oil droplets that may float to the water surface is generally not less than 60-100υ (micrometers). The floating effect also depends on factors such as the specific gravity of the oil, the temperature and viscosity of the water.
