1. Experimental purpose: The purpose of the dynamic model
experiment of water treatment structure is to cooperate with the relevant content taught in water treatment, intuitively understand the type of structure, internal structure, and the flow trajectory of water in the structure, and deepen the understanding of the content learned.
Through this experiment, we hope to achieve the following goals:
1. Understand the structure, working principle and operation method of the pulse clarifier;
2. Observe the role and characteristics of the alum floc in forming a suspended layer.
2. Experimental principle:
The clarifier uses the contact flocculation effect of the alum floc in the suspended layer on the suspended particles in the raw water to remove suspended impurities in the raw water. The mechanism of contact flocculation includes: the collision between alum flocs and alum flocs, alum flocs and suspended impurities in the raw water, and the adsorption of alum flocs on suspended particles and other impurities in the raw water. After the contact flocculation is completed, the alum flocs (i.e. the increased alum flocs) are separated from the raw water and enter the mud collecting bucket to clarify the raw water. The reaction and sedimentation separation processes are completed in the clarifier respectively.
